The first round of the U-14 and U-17 Juniors Judo League competitions has come to an end.
545 judokas (449 boys, 96 girls) from 101 clubs and sports societies competed for medals in the U-14 League competition held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
Rasul Gerikhanov (+73 kg), one of the athletes from the “Neftchi” Sports Club who participated in the tournament, lost only in the final match and won a silver medal. Dilbar Aghamirzayeva (52 kg) and Fatima Gaygiyeva (63 kg) stood on the third step of the podium.
In the U-17 League competition, in which 852 judokas (677 boys, 175 girls) from 101 sports organizations participated, our club’s representatives Yagmur Ahmadzade (52 kg) and Nizami Savalanli (55 kg) defeated all their rivals and won gold medals. Maleyka Mursaliyeva (52 kg) took second place, and Zohra Agazade (57 kg) took third place.
