Seniors Azerbaijani Judo Championship, held at the Baku Sports Palace, finished.
On the final day, team competitions were held. Among women, the “Neftchi-1” team became the winner . Shusha UGIM claimed the silver medal, while “Judo Club 2012” and the Umbayev Judo Club secured bronze medals.
In the men’s competition, the “Neftchi-1” team, unexpectedly lost in the semifinals, ended up in third place.
It is worth noting that athletes of the “Neftchi” Sports Club performed confidently in the individual competitions of the national championship, winning a total of 14 medals (4 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze).
The judokas not only topped the rankings for both men’s and women’s teams in terms of the quality and quantity of medals but also took first place in the overall team standings.
