State institutions that stood out in various sports competitions held throughout the year among employees of government agencies, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, were awarded.
At the event held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Minister Farid Gayibov thanked all state institutions for their active participation in the competitions and presented special trophies to the top three institutions.
SOCAR, whose employees performed confidently in all tournaments throughout the year, ranked second among state institutions.
The trophy was presented to Hafiz Zeynalov, Head of SOCAR’s Administrative Department and Chairman of the Management Board of the “Neftchi” Sports Club.
It should be noted that SOCAR employees won 58 medals (14 gold, 18 silver, 26 bronze) in 21 competitions across 12 sports throughout the year.
It is worth mentioning that employees of state institutions demonstrated their skills in 28 tournaments held in 19 sports disciplines during the year, including mini football, swimming, billiards, table tennis, volleyball, backgammon, athletics, sport climbing, basketball, golf, chess, rowing, archery, badminton, shooting, backgammon, padel, beach volleyball, and cycling.
