Sadig Sadigov Asaf oglu was born in 1965. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute. He is the head of the management apparatus of the “Neftchi Sports Club” Public Union. During various periods when he led sports communities and clubs, our athletes achieved successes at the Olympic Games, world, and European championships. Sadig Sadigov was awarded honorary titles and medals by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for his services to sports. In 2008, he was awarded the title “Honored Physical Education and Sports Specialist of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” and in 2011 and was awarded the “Taraggi” medal. From 2009 to 2015, he worked as the president of the “Neftchi” Professional Football Club. Under his leadership, “Neftchi” became the Azerbaijan champion three times and won the national cup twice. In 2012, the “Neftchi” team participated in the group stage of the UEFA for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani football.
