The “Zagreb Open” international rating tournament in wrestling held in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, has concluded.
The wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, represented in our national teams, won 9 medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 5 bronze).
One of our freestyle wrestlers, Kenan Heybatov (70 kg), won the tournament. Nuraddin Novruzov (61 kg) and Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) took third place.
In the women’s wrestling competition, Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won the gold medal. Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) was awarded the silver medal.
Among Greco-Roman wrestlers, Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) becme winners of the championship. Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg), Murad Ahmadiyev (97 kg) and Sarkhan Mammadov (130 kg) finished the competition in third place.
