Marksmen from the “Neftchi” Sports Club achieved great success at the World Championships held in Lima, Peru, among the juniors. In the 50-meter small-caliber pistol shooting competition, Imran Garayev scored 552 points and won the gold medal. Our athlete also secured second place in the boys’ team competition. Leyli Aliyeva won gold in the girls’ team competition, while Vladislav Kalmykov earned a silver medal as part of the national boys’ team.
It should be noted that earlier, our club’s athlete, Leyli Aliyeva, had won a silver medal in the girls’ team competition in the 10-meter air pistol shooting event.
It is worth mentioning that 566 athletes from 51 countries competed in the event.
