The U-21 Juniors national judo championship has concluded. The competition held at the “Khilasedici” Sports and Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Hovsan settlement determined the winners in 14 weight categories among girls and boys. 237 judokas from 53 clubs, societies and sports organizations demonstrated their skills in the tournament.
Representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Club fought with determination and won 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
Among your young judokas, Nihad Mamishov (60 kg), Jasur Ibadli (81 kg), Gulnara Bayramova (57 kg) and Asmar Aliyeva (78 kg) won all the matches and became champions of Azerbaijan. Nahid Targuliyev (81 kg), who lost only in the decisive final match, was awarded a silver medal. Mirkhalig Iskenderov (60 kg) finished the national championship in third place.
It should be noted that the “Neftchi” Sports Club took first place in the overall team standings.
