The individual competitions of the Judo National Championship among men and women finished held at the Baku Sports Palace. The tournament featured 324 athletes (254 men and 70 women) from 60 teams representing the capital and various regions, competing for the title of champion.

Representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Club performed confidently in the championship, winning a total of 14 medals (4 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze). Among our judokas, Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg), Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg), Zelym Tckayev (81 kg), and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) emerged victorious in all their matches, becoming national champions. Fidan Gasimova (52 kg), Nargiz Hajiyeva (63 kg), Asmar Aliyeva (78 kg), Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), and Omar Rajabli (81 kg) claimed silver medals after losing in the final matches. Meanwhile, Balabay Agayev (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Nariman Mirzayev (73 kg), Jasur Ibadli (81 kg), and Nihad Shikhalizada (100 kg) won bronze medals.

It is worth noting that the judokas of the “Neftchi” Sports Club became champions in the men’s and women’s team.

Additionally, on December 1, team competitions will be held among judokas. The “Neftch” Sports Club will participate with two teams each in both the men’s and women’s categories.
