A judoka of the “Neftchi” Sports Club Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) won a bronze medal at the European Championship held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. Our athlete defeated the Spanish three-time European champion Francisco Garrigos by ippon in the match for third place.
It should be noted that this was the first award won by Azerbaijani judokas in the tournament.
