Our Greco-Roman wrestlers also became the winners of the U-20 Azerbaijan Championship

The U-20 Azerbaijan championship in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, which started on February 11 at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex, has concluded. Greco-Roman wrestlers competed in the last days of the competition.
Greco-Roman wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 8 medals (3 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze) of the national championship.
Our wrestlers Faraim Mustafayev (67 kg), Seymur Gasimov (72 kg) and Javad Mammadov (77 kg) won gold medals. Khalid Alasgarov (55 kg), Mahammad Gasimzadeh (63 kg) and Kamran Rajabli (72 kg), who lost only in the final match, won silver medals, and Elmir Sarkhanov (82 kg) and Mahir Gurbanli (97 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that the “Neftchi” Sports Club won the championship for the 23rd time in the overall team score.
It should be noted that the freestyle wrestlers of the “Neftchi” Sports Club also took first place in the overall team score at the republican championship with 20 medals (8 gold, 2 silver, 10 bronze).
