The U-23 European Wrestling Championship continues in the capital of Albania, Tirana. Today, the first medalists in women’s wrestling were determined.
Gunay Gurbanova, a representative of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, fought confidently (59 kg), won all her matches and won the European champion title. Our other female wrestler Asmar Cankurtaran (50 kg) finished the prestigious competition with a bronze medal.
It should be noted that previously, our club’s freestyle wrestlers won 3 silver and 2 bronze medals at the European Championship.
