The Open European Cup for combat sports clubs was held in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Athletes from 28 clubs representing 18 countries competed for medals in the tournament.
“Neftçi” was represented by 6 athletes in the competition. Among them, Eldar Abiyev (30 kg) won the gold medal in the “kick light” category by defeating all his opponents. Abulfaz Yagubov (57 kg) achieved the same success and reached the highest step of the podium.
Among our other athletes, Farida Guliyeva (44 kg) took second place, and Hikmet Nasrullazade (47 kg) secured third place.
