The Greco-Roman wrestler of the “Neftchi” Sports Club Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg) won a silver medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Our experienced athlete lost to Russian Emin Sefershayev (UWW) in the final and took second place on the podium.
It should be noted that Eldeniz Azizli won the European Championship in 2018 and 2022.
It should be noted that previously, freestyle wrestlers of our club Ali Rahimzade (65 kg), Kenan Heybatov (70 kg) and Aganazar Novruzov (74 kg) won the bronze medal of the continental championship. Our female wrestler Zhala Aliyeva (57 kg) was awarded a bronze medal.
