Dadash Dadashbeyli, a weightlifter from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, won a silver medal at the World Championship held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Competing in the 109 kg weight category, our athlete lifted 183 kg, finishing fourth in this movement. He achieved a better result in the clean and jerk, marking a historic success. Lifting 221 kg, Dadash Dadashbeyli secured the silver medal in this movement at the championship. Our representative took second place in the overall standings with a total of 404 kg (183+221).
It is worth noting that Dadash Dadashbeyli won a bronze medal at the World Championship held in Saudi Arabia last year.
