Rashad Mammadov, a Greco-Roman wrestler from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, performed confidently at the U-23 World Championship held in Tirana, Albania, and won a silver medal. Competing in the 55 kg weight category, our representative was defeated by Iranian Ahmad Vafaei in the decisive final, becoming the world runner-up.
It should be noted that yesterday, another Greco-Roman wrestler from our club, Nihad Guluzade (60 kg), won the bronze medal at the championship.
