The World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, continue.
“Neftchi” Sports Club’s para-athlete Said Najafzada achieved a success. Competing in the T12 category long jump event, our athlete achieved a result of 7.30 meters and became the world champion.
It is worth noting that previously, our athlete had become the European champion and won a gold medal at the World Championships for the first time. Last year, he secured a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Paris. Said Najafzada is also a bronze medalist from the Tokyo Paralympics.
Additionally, two days ago, our club’s female para-athlete Lamiya Valiyeva had won a gold medal in the 100 meters race.
