A gala evening was held as part of the European Judo Championship held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. At the ceremony, the best of Europe were awarded based on the results of 2024.
Hidayat Heydarov, a representative of the Neftchi Sports Club and Olympic champion, was awarded the title of “Best Male Judoka of the Year”. The award was presented to him by Laszlo Toth, President of the European Judo Union (EJU).
It should be noted that Hidayat Heydarov was also named the best judoka of the year in the world at an event held in Paris in February of this year.
