The traditional “Great Silk Way” international tournament organized among male and female boxers in Baku has concluded. 175 athletes from 9 countries competed for the title of winner in the five-day competition.
Representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 4 medals (1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze) of the prestigious competition. One of our boxers, Nabi Isgandarov (67 kg), performed confidently and emerged victorious in all fights and ascended to the highest step of the podium. Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg), who suffered only the pain of defeat in the decisive final match, was awarded a silver medal. Shamil Askerov (60 kg) and Anakhanim Ismayilova (48 kg) finished the tournament in third place.
