A new wrestling hall has been inaugurated at the Garadag Training and Sports Base of the “Neftçi” Sports Club located in the Lökbatan settlement. Representatives from the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation and the “Neftçi” Sports Club attended the event.
Initially, there was an inspection of the hall. During the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by the general manager of the “Neftçi” Sports Club, Elmar Babanlı, officials from the federation Namiq Abdullayev, Arif Abdullayev, Rovshan Bayramov, and the head coach of the freestyle wrestling team of the club, Asgarhan Novruzov. They spoke about the attention and care the state provides to sports. They noted that thanks to a correct and purposeful state policy, Azerbaijani sports are developing rapidly. The officials particularly emphasized the significant role of wrestlers in the achievements of the country’s sports. The speakers highlighted that renowned athletes have always emerged from the “Neftçi” Sports Club and the country as a whole in this sport and expressed their belief that this tradition will continue to grow. They wished success to the wrestlers.
At the end of the event, coaches and athletes expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation and the “Neftçi” Sports Club for the opening of the new hall and the excellent conditions created.
