Nihad Mämishov, a judoka from the “Neftçi” Sports Club, confidently competed in the World Championship held in Lima, the capital of Peru, among cadets and won the gold medal. Our athlete, competing in the 55 kg weight category, defeated his Mongolian opponent with an ippon in the final. Thus, he has ascended to the highest step of the podium at the world championship for the second time.
It should be noted that Nihad Mämishov achieved the same success in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, in 2023, becoming a two-time world champion.
