The Cadets and Juniors Azerbaijan Wushu championship took place at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex. In the competition, 225 athletes from 22 teams competed for medals.
The “Neftchi” Sports Club’s athletes became winners in all age groups. Abulfaz Yagubov (56 kg) took 3rd place among athletes born in 2008-2009. In the 2010-2011 age group, Juneyt Garibov (+70 kg) won a silver medal, while Ali Ahmadli (42 kg) won a bronze medal. In the 2012-2013 age group, Emin Khanchali (30 kg), Rasul Binnatzada (36 kg), Mahir Sadigov (33 kg), Hasan Gurbatov (39 kg), and Rais Farajov (42 kg) claimed the third places. In the 2014-2015 age group, Eldar Abiyev (30 kg) and Sanan Iskandarov (36 kg) won silver, while Agil Dadashli (30 kg) and Shakir Farajov (36 kg) won bronze medals. Another athlete, Ayaz Dadashli (27 kg), took the second place among athletes born in 2016-2017.
