The Baku Open Boxing Championship was finished, started on 19 April in
the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation. The tournament organized among the boxers
born between the years of 2002-2003, many athletes from the capital and the
regions competed in 17 weight categories.The boxers of “Neftchi” Sports Club won 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze
medals of the capital championship. The boxer Elgun Sultanov (50 kg) and Seyran
Hasanzada (65 kg) won all matches and became the champions. Omar Jafarov (38.5
kg), Agha Jafarov (76 kg), Javid Aliyev (+76 kg) won silver medals and Ali
Iskandarov (41.5 kg), Mirabbas Shavrugulu and Nazir Abdullayev (both 46 kg) won
bronze medals.
