two-time hero of the Soviet Union, Major-General Hazi Aslanov, the 38th annual
international Baku judo tournament was ended. The tournament was organized in
the Baku Sports Palace among the teenagers and about 400 fighters from Georgia,
Slovenia, Croatia, Israel, Russia, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and
Azerbaijan demonstrated their abilitiesThe tournament was organized
by National Olympic Committee, Youth and Sports Ministry, Baku City Youth and
Sports Department and Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the teenagers born in
1999-2001 competed in 17 weight categories.”Neftchi Sports Club” was
represented by 45 judokas in the tournament. 7 athletes of them were able to be
among the winners. Gnyaz Mahmudlu (66 kg) was awarded bronze medal among the
boys. Aytaj Guluzada (44 kg) and Kamala Mugumova (70 kg) owned silver medals
and Ulviyya Bayramova (48 kg), Asmar Iskandarova (52 kg), Fidan Huseynova (63
kg) and Nigar Jafarova (+70 kg) owned bronze medals among the girls.
