Azerbaijan Championship on
cycling ended, which was held in Ismailli.The cyclists of “Neftchi
Sports Club” achieved great successes in this tournament. Elchin Asadov became
Azerbaijan champion among the cyclists (until the age of 23, “Elite” category)
in indivudal racing with a distance of 35 km (47 minutes 43 seconds). In the
team racing (164 km) he grabbed third place with a result of 4 hours 32 minutes
58 seconds. Samir Jabrayilov became third in the individual racing (49 minutes
33 seconds) and second in the team racing (4 hours 32 minutes 56 seconds).Asif Hasanov’s two more pupils
became champions. Mahmud Mammadov owned silver medal in the individual racing
with a result of 31 minutes 48 seconds (20 km). And Vugar Nasibov became third
in the team racing with a result of 2 hours 4 minutes 20 seconds (70 km).Note that, the results of the
competition will be considered in the International Cycling Union rankings.
