The
Azerbaijan Weightlifting Championship has finished held in the
“Shuvelan” Weightlifting Academy among the men and women. The size of
the geography of the championship created the conditions for the participation
of athletes from clubs and sports societies in the regions. About 200 athletes
have participated in this tournament and the athletes of “Neftchi Sports Club”
have also been among them.On the last
day of the competition weighted up to 105 kg and +105 kg athletes have
competed. Among the young athletes the winner of the last race Askhab Kolayev
(+105 kg) has managed 120 kg in the snatch competition and 140 kg in the clean
and jerk competition and won a gold medal (260 kg).
