The Republic Junior Championship has been finished, started in the Baku Sports Complex, on 9thDecember. More than 500 athletes of 69 teams have competed in the tournament, organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.The athletes of “Neftchi Sports Club” have been represented in the tournament. Our judokas have won 15 medals of the tournament (3 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze). Among the boys Knyaz Mahmudlu (66 kg) has won all the competitors and become the champion. Elkhan Akbarov (50 kg), Davud Abbasli (60 kg), Rishad Khanlarzada (90 kg) and Jamal Feyziyev (+90 kg) have owned silver medals and Jamal Feyziyev (+90 kg), Nariman Mirzayev (55 kg), Ibrahim Agakishiyev (81 kg) won bronze medals. Among the girls Farida Safarova (52 kg) and Fidan Huseynova (63 kg) have been the national champions. Ulviyya Bayramova (48 kg), Asmar Iskanderzada (52 kg) and Jamala Mugumova have lost only in the final and won silver medals. Another judokas of the club Nigar Azimova (48 kg), Maleyka Mammadova (52 kg) and Fidan Aliyeva (57 kg) have took the third places.Note that, the strongest of the championship will be involved in the judo national team (junior).
