The Republic Joriyo Kung-Fu Championship has been held in the Hovsan Olympic Sports Complex, on the occasion of the Islamic Solidarity Year. More than 100 athletes have fought on the type of Tao Lu (competition on individual complexes).11 sportsmen of the “Neftchi Sports Club” have participated in the competition and 9 of them have been among the medalists. So, in 9-12 age categories, Ismayil Hajizade won 1 gold and 1 silver medal. Ibrahim Mammadov 1 gold and 1 silver medal, Ali Babazade has also won 1 gold and 1 silver medal and Turkhan Maharramov has won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal in 12-15 age categories. In 15-18 age categories, Ruzi Valiyev has won 4 gold and 1 silver medals. Elnur Mahmudov has won 2 silver medals in 18-35 age categories. Khalid Gasimov has gained 1 gold, 3 silver and Fuad Jafar 1 gold and 1 silver medal (U-35).The female athlete Aytan Valiyeva (12-15 age categories) has won 3 gold medals.
