The World Judo Championship continues held in Budapest, Hungary.Today the judokas of the national team and “Neftchi Sports Club” Rustam Orujov and Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) have joined the championship. Rustam Orujov has started from 1/32 final. He has defeated Kosovar Akil Gjakova by Ippon, French Pierre Duprat by waza-ari, Tajik Behruzi Khojazoda, Chinese Sai Yinjirigala and qualified for the semi-final. At this stage, Orujov faced with South Korean An Chang-rim and won his rival. In the final, Orujov lost to Soichi Hashimoto of Japan and won a silver medal of the World Championship.President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the member of the Executive Committee of the International Judo Federation Rovnag Abdullayev has presented the medals to the winners in this weight category.Another judoist Hidayat Heydarov has also joined the championship from 1/32 final. So, Hidayat Heydarov has defeated Moroccan Ahmed al-Meziati by Ippon, Romanian Alexandru Raicu by Ippon and Magdiel Estrada from Cuba. At the quarter-final he has won Russian Denis Yartsev by Ippon and qualified for the final. In the semi-final, Orujov’s rival has been Soichi Hashimoto of Japan and our judoka has lost. He has joined the fight for a bronze medal. But at this stage he has lost to Mongolian Odbayar Ganbaatar and finished the championship without any medal.Note that, in the first days of the championship our judoka Orkhan Safarov (60 kg) had also won a silver medal.
