The Republic Athletics Championship was held at the stadium of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports. More than 100 athletes from 15 clubs competed for medals.Athletes of “Neftchi Sports Club” won 4 gold medals of the country championship. Our representative Zakiya Hasanova became the fastest finisher at the 100 meters (11.74) and 200 meters (24.55) events.Among the men, Nazim Babayev rose to leadership with 7.54 meters at the long jump event. Orkhan Gasimov became the champion of Azerbaijan with a score of 40.70 meters at the spear event.
