The republic boxing
championship has ended among teenagers born in the years 2000-2001. The
tournament organized in Azerbaijan Boxing Center, 235 leather glove masters of
40 team squads have competed in 14 weight categories.”Neftchi” Sports
Club’s teens have won 5 medals of the country championship (2 gold medals, 2
silver medals, 1 bronze medal). Our boxers, fighting in 50 kg weight category,
Aflatun Babayev and Hamid Gadirov have won all matches and have become
Azerbaijan champion. Hasan Mammadov( 63 kg) and Elchin Asgarov (75 kg) have only lost in the final match and have
been awarded the silver medal. And Shirkhan Malikov (46 kg) has become the 3rdof the honorary podium.Note that, “Neftchi” Sports Club has taken the 3rdplace in
the team score.
