Baku Open Judo Championship has ended, held in Shagan Olympic Sports
Complex. 1024 athletes have taken part in the tournament from capital and
regions and in the tournament judokas have struggled in two age groups. 508
judokas (483 boys, 25 girls) born in 2002-2003, have taken part and 516 judokas
(494 boys, 22 girls) born in 2004-2005, have tried to compete.”Neftchi” Sports Club’s judokas have won 15 medals of the tournament (3
gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals). In the race among boys born
in 2002-2003, Shukran Zamanli 38 (kg) and Chingiz Fattahov (42 kg) have mounted the
highest step of the podium. Namig Mirzaliyev (38 kg) and Nahid Adigozalov (46
kg) have been awarded the silver medal. And among the girls, Asmar Iskandarova
(52 kg) has won a gold medal. Marziya Sadigova (48 kg) has taken silver medal,
Aysel Jamalova (44 kg) and Telli Aliyeva (57 kg) have won bronze medal.In the race among boys born in 2004-2005, Abdulrahman Gadirov (34 kg),
Subhan Eyyubov has taken the 2ndplace and Rauf Mirzayev (34 kg) has
taken the 3rd place.
