second round. First he defeated local Ksun Jao Cheng, then won against Otgonbaatar
Lkhagvasuren from Mongolia. In 1/4 final by losing against Cuban Esli Gonzalez
had to fight for 3rd place. At first he won against British Enriu Bern, then
Russian Kiril Vaprosov who was fighting for bronze with Ippon and as result he
ranked 3 .Club’s other graduate
Elmar Gasimov (100 kg) has moved into the quarter-final thanks to convincing
victories over Japanese Rutaro Goto and Georgian Guram Tushishvili. At this
stage, he has come face to face with his teammate Elkhan Mammadov, who has won
Argentinian Hector Campos and Korean Hwang Min-Hon. Separated the winner from
Azerbaijan duel, Mammadov has failed to Kazakh Maxim Rakov in the semifinal.
But our judoka has won Ukrainian representative Artem Bloshenko and has gained
a bronze medal. At the consolatory meetings Elmar Gasimov has also won ovet
Croatian Zlatko Kumrich and German Karl-Richard Frey and has achieved the same
success.Thus, Azerbaijan
judokas have finished with 6 medals in Grand Prix China. In the early days of
the race, Ilgar Mushkiyev (60kg) and Nijat Shikhalizada (66 kg) have taken gold
medal and Rustam Orujov (73 kg) has taken silver medal. With this indicator our
country has been wimning the most medals in the competition among the men and
has completed the race in the 1st place.Note that, our all
