Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia is hosting the U23
European Judo Championships.Neftchi sport club’s
judoists won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals of continent. In 60 kg weight
Davood Mammadov reached the final without any obstacles. In his path he defeated Irodotos Kelpis from
Cyprus, Russian athlete, Savva Karakizidi and Italian Carmine Di
Loreto.In the final match with
defeat against Russian Islam Yashuyev, owned the silver medal.Our representative
Telman Valiyev (66 kg) in the fight for
the bronze medal had to face another Azeri, Rashad Rufullayev. From this
match our athlete Telman Valiyev come out victorious. Note that our athlete in his first match
defeated, Lithuanian representer,
Tigran Galistian an Armenian origin athlete.Club’s another young
judoist Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg), defeated
Moldovan Gheorghe Blanaru, Russian Arbi Khamkhoev and Ukrainian Artem Khomula, rising to the semi finals.In this stage,
Italian athlete, Antonio Sposito defeated Heydarov. For 3rd rank fighting Montenegro athlete
Nikola Gusic he finished the match victorious and achieved European
Championship’s Bronze Medal.
