In Abu Dabi, capital
of United Arab Emirates, youth judo world championship continues. In the
competitions there are 555 athletes (336 boys, 219 girls) from 82 countries are fighting for the title winner.Our team consists of youth
attending world championship with 12 judokas (10 boys, 2 girls).”Neftchi” Sports Club’s
athlete representing our country, Hidayat Heydarov (66 kg) only lost one match
in world championship and owned a bronze medal. In this path, he won against
Palestinian, Costa Rica, Austria and Dauch representatives reaching to the semi
final. In this stage against Japanese athlete Masaya Asari was unsuccessful and
had to fight for bronze medal. Fighting for the 3rdrank, Heydarov
won against Colombian Juan Teleyoy and achieved the world championship’s bronze
medal.Other judaists of the club
Natig Gurbanli (55 kg) and Hussein Rahimli (73 kg) ranked 5th,
Davood Mammadov (60kg) finished at 7thplace.Currently, Azerbaijan team
of boy athletes, overall by passing few powerfull countries are in the 8thplace, overall of whole team is 16 in ranking.
