On 10thSeptember World Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the names of Chess
players, which will face in the first round of the World Cup, starting in Baku.
In the tournament all of the strongest
chess players of the world willparticipate with the exception of world
chess champion Norwegian Magnus Carlsen and ex world champion Indian
Viswanathan Anand.From intellects of
“Neftchi” Sports Club – Teymur Rajabov, Eltaj Safarli and Vasif Durarbayli will
represent our country in the tournament, which 128 chess players will
represent. In the first round Teymur Rajabli will face to Samuel Sevian(USA), Vasif Durarbayli will face to Le Guang
(Vietnam) and Eltaj Safarli will face to Ksaba Balog (Hungary).The winner will be set according
to the results of the party and will qualify for the next round. Only players,
who will compete in the final, will face 4 times. The World Cup winner and
finalist will have right to participate in the tournament of the plaintiffs, in
2016. If at the end of the both parties results are draw, the competitors will
play two parties with 25+10 time control. If the result is still a draw, 2
parties (10+10) will be played, and then more 2 parties will be played (5+3).
If after this, will not be gained an advantage, and then decisive party will be
played called “Armageddon”.
