The freestyle wrestling competitions were finished at the IV Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku.The freestyle wrestler of the “Neftchi Sports Club”, the world champion and the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games Haji Aliyev (61 kg) has won a gold medal of the Islamiada. He has won the wrestler of Turkmenistan Saparmyrat Myratov and the wrestler of Tajikistan Todjiddin Xodjayev and qualified for the semi-final. In the semi-final, he has faced with Iranian Masoud Esmailporjuybari and won his opponent. In the final, he has secured the gold medal thanks to a 10-0 victory over Kyrgyz Alibek Osmonov.President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev presented the medals to the wrestlers.Note that, on the first days of the wrestling tournament, the Greco-Roman wrestlers Elvin Mursaliyev (75 kg) and Islam Abbasov (85 kg) and the freestyle wrestler Mahir Amiraslanov (57 kg) had won gold medals of the Islamiada.
