The European Sambo Championship has been held among cadets (1999-2000) and juniors (1997-1998) in Prague, Czech Republic.The sambo wrestlers of the national team and “Neftchi Sports Club” have won 3 medals in the tournament. The athlete Rashad Dunyamaliyev (56 kg) has won all the matches and become the European Champion. Other athletes of the club Elmin Huseynov (62 kg) and Teymur Allahverdiyev (70 kg) have taken bronze medals of the tournament.
