The Juniors World Judo Championship ended in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. 590 athletes from 83 countries (346 boys, 244 girls) competed in the tournament and the national team was represented by 15 judoists (10 boys, 5 girls).
On the last day of the World Cup, another judoist from Neftchi Sports Club achieved great success. Zelym Kotsoiev, who competed in 100 kilograms weight category, won a victory over Korean, Uzbek, Austrian and Tajik athletes. In the final, he has faced with armenian athlete from Russia Armen Adamian. In this match, Kotsoiev has won his rival and won a gold medal of the tournament.
Recall that in the previous days of the prestigious tournament three more judokas of the club were among the medalists.
It should be noted that our national team occupied the first place in men's individual competitions. Azerbaijani judokas have been ahead of Japan, Russia, Georgia, Brazil, Germany, Uzbekistan, Turkey, France, Italy and other teams. In the general team competitions, our team took the second place.
