25 years have passed since the Khojaly tragedy. At the night, from February 25 to 26, 1992 the Khojaly genocide was implemented with the direct participation of the Armenian armed forces, Armenian armed groups in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and the former USSR's 366th regiment in Khankendi armored vehicles and military personnel. This massacre is one of the most horrible crimes committed against humanity in the XX century. Unprecedented cruelty committed against Azerbaijanis in the Khojaly genocide 613 people were killed, 1,000 peaceful people of different ages became invalid from gunshot wounds. Including 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. 8 families were completely destroyed, 25 children lost both parents and 130 children lost one parent. 76 of the wounded were children. On the night of the tragedy, 1,275 peaceful residents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.
